can Satan read your mind?
by doodle-v ini talked to my brother today who is still a practicing jw (i've managed to fade) .
we were talking and suddenly he asked me if i thought satan could read my mind.
and he said "yeah i though the answer was yes and then i found out that satan cant read my mind".

I think the concept of Satan being able to read your thoughts is a big concept for a dub to deal with. If Satan can read your thoughts then hes got to have access into your thought stream, and if hes got that....well, its only a short step to posession. When I was a teenage dub my view was that Satan, while unable to actually enter inside my mind, could read my body signals. twitches, eye movements, breathing, sweating, etc and from these he could deduce where I was at and what I was feeling.

Bro Brad: Well I suppose you had to do it for your own sake.Ive been back to meetings a couple times myself but I only needed to go once or twice before I knew I couldnt go back again. That energy draining Public talk, that mind numbing WT study, the passivity was more than could be born !!

ChiKKy. Ive read a couple books is all and I know a bit about them. Not a lot, but a bit. One of the books Ive read is "Bare Faced Messiah" which is a very in depth expose of hubbard. As well as that Ive read a number of their own publications and Ive talked with Cyril Vosper who is a very famous Scientology apostate. Vosper was a big wheel in the Org in the 60s when L Ron was based in Saint Hill Manor in the UK. Nowadays Vosper lives in Melbourne here,in Flemington. So....there you go.
L Ron Died in 1986. He wasnt that old, about 72 I think.

When does your cycle calculation commence? Starting date please. Also, 1947ad plus 455 years (bc) is 48 cycles. So what?? Please explain.
Your theory looks as nutty as the 70 weeks theory postulated by the mad pentecostal Norman Robertson. He reckoned that Gods "70 weeks" clock got stopped for a span of 2000 plus years between 30AD ( week 69) and week 70. All completely incomprehensible of course.

Edited. Ahh. I see now ( I Think) 455 plus 1947 = 2402. which divides into 49 cycles of 49. Great!! So what??? The cycle is 50 years. not 49. you cant just throw 50 years away because it doesnt suit your agenda my lad!!

J Canon. Im pretty sure that , upon examination, your math will be shonky. If it all added up the way you claim Im sure Grant Jeffrey or Hal Lindsay would have used the jubilee cycles math years ago.
